About ESTCON 2026

The World Engineering, Science, and Technology Congress (ESTCON) is Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS’ (UTP) biennial flagship event, serving as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, intellectual discourse, and global networking among academics, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers.

Now in its 9^th edition, ESTCON continues to explore Future Positioning Through Sustainable Energy & Digitalisation and Smart Community, recognising their critical role in shaping a climate-resilient future. As energy systems evolve, these themes remain essential for driving innovative, sustainable solutions that create long-term value across industries and communities.

The Congress reflects UTP’s 28-year journey of growth alongside PETRONAS and aligns with the university’s strategic goals. Through ESTCON, UTP fosters pioneering research, technological advancements, and industry collaboration to drive sustainable development that benefits the environment, economy, and society.

Looking ahead, ESTCON2026 will feature enhanced content and a renewed approach, diving deeper into its core themes. The Congress will be conducted physically at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC) on 8–9 September 2026.
