An experienced digital transformation practitioner with both public and private sector experience, Augustine is the Chief Technology Officer for Public Services in Huawei. Prior to joining the company, he spent 17 years in the Singapore Police Force & the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as 3.5 years as a Consulting Executive in Accenture, a leading global Fortune 500 company. Very much a speaker in demand, with a commanding presence and strong passionate delivery, he has represented Huawei at many International Summits, Symposiums and Ministerial Forums delivering speeches at Mobile World Congress, GITEX Global, GITEX Africa and AfricaCom.
During his time in government, Augustine held various appointments in operations, planning, crisis management and international cooperation. He was involved in multi-disciplinary ICT project teams looking at crisis management, command and control, critical communications, video surveillance and data analytics. In Consulting, he operated at the intersection of business and technology, undertaking lead roles in projects spanning strategy design, change management, business process optimization, operating model design, organization structure redesign and digital transformation of government services.
Within Huawei, Augustine undertakes a global role, supporting top public services agencies in their digital transformation journey to achieve enhanced governance and operational efficiency. He works closely with partners to develop leading innovative ICT solutions for the next generation of cities with active participation in Smart & Cognitive City projects in more than 30+ countries.
