Workshop Title: Thinking Tools for Digital Strategist 

Description : Become the Digital Game Changer you were meant to be. Do you want to become a prolific inventor? Do you believe that there is a creative spark in yourself that needs to be nurtured? Have you ever wondered about the secrets tools of successful inventors? If these questions are on your mind, then this talk will be for you, to help you discover the innate potential through the mastery of basic principles systematic innovation. Knowledge-based tools are now available and by applying them, everyone can now become an inventor. The talk gives you insights on the process providing illustrations of how you can do it yourself. The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) provides the foundational tools for anyone and everyone to become an inventor, in an upcoming knowledge era. The workshop will include hands-on problem-solving sessions with participants receiving their own set of Inventive Trigger cards. The instructor is a certified International TRIZ practitioner, with vast experiences in undertaking community innovation programs.

Workshop Title: Green Cloud Computing and the Way Forward

Description : In cloud computing, data centers play a vital role. The past decade has seen a dramatic increase in the significance of data centers, and they are now regarded as the backbone of the modern economy. In fact, by 2030, the cloud will serve as the pillar for virtually every financial transaction and user interaction with data, which will be due to the widespread adoption of crypto digital currencies, growing use of 3G technology, internet-of-everything (IoE), virtual reality (VR)/ augmented reality (AR) solutions, big data utilization, and artificial intelligence (AI). One of the most significant challenges confronting cloud computing is energy efficiency and green energy utilization. Therefore, the workshop will be devoted to green energy initiatives and defining a way forward for the development of green data centers. The goal of this effort is to highlight the importance of green cloud data centers and propose a way to efficiently utilize available resources and reduce energy consumption while increasing green energy utilization. At the end of the session, you will also have hands-on experience to get started with Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is one of the leading players in the cloud market arena.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop. Certain part of the sessions will be hands-on, and examples and applications will be used so that participants become familiar with the way the tools work and the outputs they produce.
